We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant and fast-paced SEMH school. This is an exciting Behaviour Mentor opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) needs.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support, helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. The ideal Behaviour Mentor will have at least one year of experience working within a school environment and a genuine commitment to supporting students with additional needs. Team Teach training is highly desirable, and a positive, resilient attitude is essential.
The School – Behaviour Mentor
This SEMH school, part of a well-established trust, is an all-through mixed special educational needs provision based in Greenwich, operating across three sites and supporting pupils from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. The school offers 128 fundedplaces, primarily for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), catering to those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs alongside additional challenges such as autism, ADHD, severe anxiety, and communication difficulties.
With a nurturing and therapeutic ethos, the school delivers a broad, individualised curriculum, supported by high staff-to-pupil ratios and a multi-disciplinary therapy team. Strong partnerships with families and external agencies lie at the heart of its approach, ensuring every pupil is supported to develop independence, confidence, and the skills needed to thrive as valued members of their community. This is an excellent opportunity to join as a Behaviour Mentor and beyond!
