We're recruiting for a confident, proactive Hire Coordinator to join a close knit and high performing team within a well established business in the equipment hire sector. If you enjoy juggling tasks, problem solving, and giving great service under pressure this could be the role for you.
About the Role
This is a busy, inbound focused role, managing incoming enquiries and converting them into confirmed hire bookings. You'll coordinate machine availability, transport, and documentation to ensure every customer receives the right solution, on time.
Expect a fast pace, lots of moving parts, and a genuinely supportive team around you. You'll be given a clear 12 week on boarding plan, full training, and colleagues who've got your back, the team hit target quarter after quarter because of their mindset and work ethic.
What You'll Be Doing
Responding to hire enquiries and converting quotes into bookings
Opening new customer accounts and inputting orders
Liaising with drivers, workshop, and service teams
Coordinating deliveries, off-hires, collections, and service needs
Resolving POD queries and keeping records up to date
Supporting with invoices, pro forma payments and order tracking
Handling a mix of planned and reactive work - no two days are the same!
What We're Looking For
Someone confident, resilient, and responsive
A strong multitasker who can stay calm and accurate when things get hectic
Previous hire desk, scheduling, or equipment hire experience is a bonus
Great customer service skills and pride in doing a job well
Familiarity with postcodes and logistics is a definite plus
Team-focused with a can-do attitude
What's on Offer
Salary up to £29,500 depending on experience
£1,000 quarterly bonus (paid at if team targets are hit - which they usually are!)
