If this sounds like you, read on, dear reader- this is what youve been waiting for Working with a small-but-growing company in the heart of Lincoln, I am looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to join them for the first phase of a 3-year growth plan theyve got: genuinely exciting times for them! Youll either be someone who has been in a leadership/managerial role for a few years or a senior engineer who is itching to make the move up the ladder into a leadership role. In this role, youll be leading a small team of 4 software engineers, and will be hands-on too, so your time will be split between these two responsibilities- the tech youll be using will centre around C++ and Radio Frequency tech- understanding the telemetry and physics behind it, all for the defence sector. You will get to help design and deliver software solutions, work with cross-functional teams, and internal stakeholders, too. In terms of leadership, youll mentor your team, advise on best practices, do code reviews with your team, participate in and lead 2-weekly Agile sprints, estimate deadlines, etc. As the company is looking to more than double in size over the next few years, career progression is baked into this role- as the company grows, so too will your remit, responsibilities, and remuneration.
