Castlefield are partnering with an independent health group who are looking to appoint a part-time Consultant Anaesthetist to join a close-knit, high-performing clinical team in the midlands. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced NHS Consultant seeking a private practice role, working approximately one day per week. You will be joining a service that places strong emphasis on clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. The team is actively advancing modern care pathways, including day-case major arthroplasty, and is committed to delivering outstanding patient outcomes through collaboration and forward-thinking practice.
Salary is £32,500 per year (based on a 1 day per week contract)
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, effective anaesthetic care across a range of procedures
* Contribute to clinical governance, audit activity, and quality improvement initiatives
* Participate in multidisciplinary teamwork and departmental meetings
* Support teaching and development of clinical staff
* Maintain high standards of patient care in line with organisational and NHS expectations
* Engage in service development and innovation where appropriate
Requirements
* GMC registration with specialist registration for Anaesthesia
* Substantive NHS Consultant experience, with at ideally least two years’ practice in the UK
* Commitment to continuing professional development and revalidation
* Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality assurance processes
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to service needs
* Enthusiasm for service improvement and delivering high-quality patient care
