Job Title: Housing Project Manager
To work collectively and collaboratively as part of the Housing Leadership Team, ensuring high-quality, affordable services are delivered to the residents of East Suffolk. Lead the strategic planning and programming of investment in the Council's housing assets.
Provide strategic leadership within the Housing Leadership Team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the entire Housing Service.
Offer expert professional and technical advice to the Leadership Team, Elected Members, colleagues, and residents.
Represent the Housing Service at Council and external meetings and events.
Ensure the successful delivery of commitments outlined in the Council's Strategic Plan and Asset Management Strategy.
Develop positive working relationships with partners to enhance the reputation of East Suffolk Council.
Produce timely performance management reports with analysis and context.
Hold direct responsibility for major financial resources with proficient financial management.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience within a construction, property, or design environment.
* Previous experience managing projects from inception to delivery.
* Experience in developing multi-year work programmes.
* Detailed understanding of design and construction techniques or similar property-focused environments.
* Relevant Level 6 qualification in the built environment.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Additional Information:
* Role is fairly flexible, requiring presence in the office once or twice a week; the rest of the week can be WFH.
* Based at either Lowestoft or Melton Office, with very occasional travel between sites.
* Petrol expenses can be claimed back if required.
