The role
As a Generator and Diesel Engine Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of maintaining and improving critical infrastructure that supports national defence – work that truly matters. Day‑to‑day responsibilities
* Providing expert support for engine‑related systems in Building 220
* Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and POL (Petrol, Oils & Lubricants) issues
* Supporting maintenance teams and projects with your specialist knowledge
* Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are upheld
* Acting as an Authorised Person for Mechanical Pressure Systems and POL
This role is full‑time, 36 hours worked over 4 days, and is based on site at RNAD Coulport, near Helensburgh.
Essential experience
* Proven experience working on Diesel, Oil, or Petrol engines
* Hands‑on experience with Generators

Security Clearance
* Must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
