About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Meetings & Events Supervisor to oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional service across a varied calendar.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and host the delivery of meetings, conferences, weddings, trade shows, private parties and other events.
* Act as the main on‑duty host for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
* Lead, train, brief, and motivate catering and event staff to deliver high standards of service.
* Ensure health, safety and hygiene compliance across all event activities.
* Maintain strong communication with Operations, Kitchen, Sales teams and external suppliers.
* Proactively solve on‑site challenges with calm professionalism.
* Uphold presentation, service and commercial standards that reflect our brand values.
Person Specification
* Proven supervisory experience in hospitality, events, banqueting or meeting environments.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Proactive problem‑solver with a guest‑focused attitude.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of how exceptional service drives repeat business.
* Strong organisational ability and attention to detail in a fast‑paced setting.
* Flexible working hours are essential, including weekends and some late evenings.
Typical Working Conditions
This role involves long periods on your feet and working in a dynamic environment with varying demands throughout the week. You’ll support a wide range of events – from business meetings and conferences to weddings, trade shows, private celebrations and community functions.
