Role Objective
We are recruiting for an Account Director who is an exceptional and driven media planner to join our Connections Planning team.
You will be working on the Ford account in the UK – the biggest auto advertiser and one of the biggest accounts at Mindshare. We work in a unique ‘full service’ model, meaning that the media teams collaborate closely with creative and account management teams within the Ford agency structure (primarily working with VMLYR).
We foster a fully integrated team approach across media, creative, and client, working together across three locations: 2 days (Mon-Tue) at Ford’s Dunton office (a short taxi from Shenfield on the Elizabeth Line; travel costs are covered), 1 day (Wed) at VML Sea Containers House, and 1 day (Thu) at Mindshare Rose Court.
About the Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include planning exciting, award-winning campaigns, working with channel specialists to ensure delivery, defining audience and connections plans, managing budgets, and supporting creative delivery.
* Focus on driving sales for Ford with an emphasis on campaign performance.
* Build and target audiences in addressable and non-addressable media, validating approaches for reach at scale.
* Design approaches for connecting with defined audiences across media channels.
* Collaborate with channel specialists to develop the connections ecosystem and plan.
* Manage campaigns daily as a liaison between clients and channel specialists.
* Design measurement and testing frameworks to optimize campaigns.
Experience & Knowledge Required
* Excellent stakeholder management skills with clients and agency teams at all levels.
* Ability to ensure clear, measurable objectives in client briefs.
* Strong understanding of audience-first strategies, translating insights into actionable plans.
* Experience in building and validating audience targeting approaches.
* Skilled in designing media connection strategies and managing campaign execution.
* Experience in designing measurement and optimization frameworks.
* Line management experience with junior team members.
* Contribute to departmental collaboration and knowledge sharing.
