Psychological Therapist/Practitioner Psychologist
We are looking for a psychologist or psychological therapist to join the Greater Manchester Student Mental Health Team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced therapist who would like to develop their understanding and skills in working with complex and co-morbid mental health presentations from a trauma-informed perspective. Our friendly team includes a Consultant Clinical Psychologist Lead, 2 Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologists, a Clinical Psychologist, and a CBT therapist. We operate within a multidisciplinary team to provide a needs-led, trauma-informed service.
Main duties of the job
You will provide assessment and formulation of clinical needs, interventions (individual and group-based), supervision, CPD, and reflective practice to inform a psychological perspective within team working.
You will support the psychology team in building strong, mutually supportive relationships within our university partnerships and may provide outreach to one of the university sites.

Band
Working hours include Saturday (midnight to midnight), any weekday after 8pm and before 6am, and all day on Sundays and public holidays (midnight to midnight)

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualified practitioner psychologist or psychological therapist
* Additional training in relevant approaches or group work
Experience
* Relevant experience treating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related problems
* Experience supervising staff from non-therapeutic backgrounds
Knowledge and Skills
* Thorough understanding of common mental health and trauma
* Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex and sensitive information orally and in writing
* Knowledge of substances and addiction in relation to mental health and trauma presentations
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A Disclosure check will be required to assess any criminal convictions.
Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 per annum, pro-rata.
