In this role a skilled software developer will use their problem-solving skills to creatively apply a top 3D modelling SDK to find novel solutions to client challenges. You can focus on the code, or engage closely with clients who are themselves developers, or both.
You'll need a real interest in problem solving. You'll be working with a fully featured SDK and coming up with creative solutions and compelling, high-quality demonstrations backed by exemplary source code. Your expertise and approach will help the company build relationships with partners and potential clients.
You'll bring:
1. Software application development skills using C and/or C++, C# and potentially other languages (JavaScript, ...).
2. A sufficient mathematical grounding and mindset to work with a 3D API, understand 3D modelling concepts and approaches and how to select from them.
3. Motivation, confidence, a willingness to learn, and the alacrity of thought and tenacity to take on technical challenges.
You'll have a good bachelor's or higher degree in a technical subject, and strong A-level Mathematics. You'll have full permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship.
You may also have prior experience with any of: OpenGL, WebGL, Vulkan, DirectX, Unity aka Unity3D, Unreal Engine, CAD or EDA tools.
Indicative 3D modelling areas include polygonal meshes (vertex/edge), CSG (boolean operations) and/or parametric and procedural geometry.
