Papworth Surgery is looking to recruit a motivated and organised Pharmacy Technician to join our busy and friendly primary care team for 30hrs per week. This role will support the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective prescribing services, helping to improve patient outcomes.
Main duties of the job
* Undertake medicines reconciliation following hospital discharge and clinic letters
* Support and manage repeat prescription processes in line with practice policies
* Respond to patient and clinician medication queries
* Assist with medication reviews and audits
* Promote safe and cost-effective prescribing
* Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staff
* Support medicines optimisation and patient safety initiatives

Job responsibilities

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* Good understanding of medicines management processes
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience
* Experience in GP practice or primary care setting
* Knowledge of EMIS or other clinical systems
* Experience of medication reviews and medicines optimisation
