Stavi is a student discount platform built around Swansea's community of local, independent businesses and chains. For students, that means saving at the places they actually want to visit. For local businesses, real brand awareness and exposure inside a community of 40,000+ local students.
We're launching in Swansea for Freshers Week 2026, and we're looking for someone to help us get there — and grow from there.
THE ROLE
You’ll lead the marketing function in our early days as our social media manager and content creator: shaping how Stavi shows up to businesses, students, and the wider Swansea community. You’ll work directly alongside both co-founders (Sam and Dawson), and you’ll have real ownership from day one.
The shape of the role shifts with the calendar:
* Now until mid-July: Business-focused. Helping us land independent partners across Swansea — partner-ready content, social posts that build credibility, and case studies as we win them.
* Mid-July onwards: Student-focused. Owning the @stavi.app social presence, building the Freshers Week launch buzz, planning the on-campus push, and overseeing our influencer and student ambassador activity.
A hybrid mix going forward — both audiences, all the time, with a clear sense of which is in front this week.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
* Running our social channels (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn)
* Creating original content — short‑form video, photography, and graphics — that brings local businesses, students, and Swansea itself to life.
* Building Freshers Week 2026 into the moment that puts Stavi on the map in Swansea.
* Overseeing influencer and student ambassador activity as it grows — briefing, coordinating, keeping it on‑brand.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
You don't need to tick every box. The right person is someone who can show us they get it and are as excited as we are.
We're a small team building something we genuinely care about, and we want to work with someone who feels the same way. A few things matter to us:
* Responsiveness. We're a start‑up. Opportunities show up at odd hours and on short notice — we need someone who can move with us when they do.
* Ownership. You’ll have real scope and real visibility with the founders. We want someone who takes that and runs with it.
* Curiosity. Ask questions. Push back when you disagree. Your the expert — we value you thoughts.
* Quality over volume. We’d rather have three things that genuinely land than ten that don't.
* Brand discipline. STAVI has a clear voice — warm, sharp, independent. We want someone who embraces that.
* Reliability. Part‑time hours mean we need to trust the work gets done. Communicate, hit deadlines, flag blockers early.
Must‑haves
* Has run a brand or business social account before — with real work to show for it.
* Confident in Canva (essential) and comfortable shooting and editing TikTok and Instagram Reels.
* A self‑starter. We're a small team — we need someone who finds the work, not someone who waits to be handed it.
It really helps if you have
* Hospitality or local‑business experience (cafés, salons, gyms, independents) — you'll could be in those rooms a lot.
* Student marketing experience — campus reps, university societies, ambassador programmes, student‑brand campaigns.
* A point of view on Swansea, the South Wales independent scene, or the local student market.
* Photography or videography skills. Being able to walk into a partner's shop and come out with usable content is gold.
* Local connections in Swansea — people, places, scenes, networks. The more you know the city, the better. We are open to discussing a commission structure if you can refer us Business Partners.
THE DETAILS
* Hours: ~10–15 per week to start, flexible around your schedule.
* Contract: Freelance / part‑time. Open to discussion on how it's structured.
* Compensation: Competitive — to be discussed based on experience. STAVI is built to grow quickly, and there's clear scope for the role and incentives to grow with it.
* Location: South Wales preferred, with regular access to Swansea. We're flexible on the specifics for the right person.
* Start date: ASAP — ideally mid to late May 2026.
* Application Deadline: 31 May 2026.
HOW TO APPLY:
Send a CV and links to previous work (social accounts you've run, campaigns you've worked on, design samples — whatever shows us what you can do) to sam@stavi.uk & dawson@stavi.uk.
You can also apply via our LinkedIn or Indeed listings.
We're open to a conversation rather than a perfect application. If you think you're the right person but your background is unconventional, tell us why. We'd rather hear it than miss you.
