From our Prestwick site, we manufacture aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. The Opportunity
Accountable for the development and optimisation of manufacturing systems including robotic and numerically controlled programmes to satisfy automation equipment.
How you will contribute to the team
* You will be responsible for providing manufacturing systems solutions through the application of industrial engineering.
* You will create and amend NC programmes.
* You will support the creation of programming data through liaison with the Design and Manufacturing disciplines.
* You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of programming simulation models.
* You will be responsible for manipulating 3D data to support manufacturing processes.
* You will provide technical guidance and training to the business to support efficient manufacturing systems programming.
* You will be responsible for the management of tools and cutters to support manufacturing operations.
About you
* Experience of manufacturing systems programming techniques.
* Conversant in 3D modelling techniques.
* Knowledge of the capabilities of a range of different PDM tools.
* Knowledge of automated manufacturing systems and equipment.
* HND level or equivalent experience in manufacturing or technology‑related discipline – desirable.
* Excellent communication and inter‑personal skills – interface with customers and suppliers.
* A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.
