Overview: This is a Long Term Temporary position starting ASAP. The role involves providing child-centered support and care in a team setting, ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and promoting the wellbeing of children in the home or supported accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality care to create a safe, stable environment supporting children's full potential.
2. Deliver a stimulating, child-centered environment with physical, emotional, social, and intellectual support, acting as a positive role model.
3. Act as a key worker, maintaining files, contributing to reviews, and developing care plans under supervision.
4. Support and advocate for children, participating in planning activities and supporting their education and training needs.
5. Maintain accurate records and contribute to care and pathway plans regularly.
6. Communicate effectively with children, observing and recording behaviour and listening to their wishes and feelings.
7. Encourage appropriate behaviour and manage challenging behaviour.
8. Support children’s health and medical needs.
9. Participate in team meetings, handovers, and keep updated with relevant legislation and policies, especially safeguarding, health & safety, equal opportunities, and data protection.
