A specialist Alternative Provision school in Thatcham is seeking a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to join their team full-time, starting immediately and continuing until July 2026. In this role, you will support students aged 11-18 with behavioural and mental health needs, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically throughout the school day.
Key responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support within the classroom and during pastoral activities
Assist teachers in managing challenging behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Support the development of social and emotional skills in pupils
Act as a positive role model, offering guidance and encouragement
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and psychologists to ensure effective support strategiesThis is an excellent opportunity for graduates to gain hands-on experience working with young people who face behavioural and mental health challenges. It is ideal for those considering careers in education, psychology, youth work, or related fields.
