Teaching Assistant
If you are a recent Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting young children, this could be your step into a career in education.
We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school supporting pupils with complex needs in Leeds. You will play a key role in helping students engage with their learning, build positive relationships, and develop the skills they need to succeed.
What you will be doing:
1. Providing support for pupils with complex needs, ASD
2. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create supportive routines
3. Using your psychology knowledge to help children manage emotions and behaviour
4. Creating a safe, structured environment where every child can thrive
What we are looking for:
5. A psychology graduate (or similar field) keen to apply knowledge in a practical, rewarding way
6. Someone with empathy, patience, and a calm and nurturing approach
7. Experience working with children or young people (voluntary or paid) is desirable
8. A genuine interest in SEND, mental health, and child development
