Our client, a non for profit organisation based in the heart of Windsor, is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role is responsible for processing all transactional data relating to sales and purchases accurately and in timely manner that ensures accurate reports to stakeholders. This role is hybrid (2 days in the office and 3 from home) and the salary is £28k - £30k plus excellent benefits including 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, private healthcare and much more. Ideally, you will be AAT qualified or studying towards, with experience in a similar role. Duties include Raise sales invoices ensuring VAT compliance as instructed by the Finance Director Credit Control including regular monthly statements to customers Weekly Debtors Report to Budget Holders (new) Coding and posting authorised purchase invoices to EACTS' accounting system Weekly payment run Maintaining up-to-date supplier data Weekly integration to accounting system Daily bank reconciliation Month end reconciliation of Bank Statements to Trial Balance Distribution, reconciliation and recording of petty cash Ensuring that all receipts for credit cards are saved and reconciled in the Credit Card Folder Assist the Finance Director in Finance projects (new ERP system, AP automation software) Assist the Finance Director with Annual Audit Assist the Management Accountant with International VAT return Skills and Experience Previous experience in a finance or accounting role Familiarity with accounting software ( eg NetSuite) is an advantage Evidence in data entry, bookkeeping, and financial reporting Strong numerical and analytical skills, problem solver Understanding basic bookkeeping (double entry of sale/ purchase invoice, cashbook) Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work Good organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Please note that we will only contact those candidates that we assess as suitable for the positions we have currently available based on their experience, training, and skills.
