Introduction To present, broke, negotiate and place enquires within the division into both Lloyd's and Company markets and to provide a fast and efficient service to our client base. To contribute to the efficient running of the division through the maintenance of quality service standards. Key Responsibilities Deal with clients both on a direct insurance and reinsurance basis, either by phone, email or on occasions face to face in an appropriate manner for your level of knowledge and expertise. Negotiate the best possible price and placement using appropriate knowledge, expertise and market presence for desired cover. Ensure that all new and renewal business, mid-term policy amendments and general enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner. Develop and maintain effective key relationships with Clients, Brokers and Underwriters. Liaise with other members of the division as required in assessing client requirements/broking strategy on any particular risk. Produce slips and/or endorsements using ‘Total Objects’. Complete the technical handover document along with any supporting documentation and send to Cheltenham so that it is ready to be processed. Assist the Managing Director or your line manager in identifying growth opportunities / new business opportunities and key acquisitions where appropriate. Ensuring that all facility spreadsheets capturing individual account information are correct and up to date. Gathering of market intelligence and sharing of relevant information with the team. Skills and Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the insurance market (domestic / globally) and relevant Underwriters. Specific knowledge of Amwins Global Risks products / facilities Experience of broking risks Experience of face to face negotiations Understanding and affinity for relationship building Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages Ability to work collaboratively with others — strong interpersonal skills Cert CII or working towards.
