Overview
Health and Social Care professional to join nationwide network of Huntington’s Disease Specialists providing care management, specialist assessment, and emotional support to individuals and families across Scotland. Hybrid working model combining office and home‑based. Positions in Greater Glasgow and Clyde (Scottish Huntington's Association, Business First, Burnbrae Road, Paisley, PA2 1FB) and Ayrshire & Arran (Douglas Grant Rehabilitation Centre, Irvine).
Job Details
Duration: Permanent. Salary: £33,537 to £37,103 pro rata (review pending). Hours: 36 hours per week (Greater Glasgow and Clyde); 24 hours per week (Ayrshire and Arran) – hours negotiable with suitable candidate.
Responsibilities
* Provide care management, specialist assessment, and emotional support to individuals and families.
* Offer advice, training and education to professionals and voluntary agencies involved in all aspects of Huntington’s disease care.
* Work autonomously in community‑based practice, managing caseloads efficiently.
Qualifications
* Professional body membership essential (nursing, allied health, social work, medicine).
* Previous experience of Huntington’s disease is advantageous but not essential – full training provided.
* Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong time‑keeping and caseload management abilities.
* Community‑based practice knowledge.
* Valid driving licence and ownership or access to a car.
* Undergo enhanced disclosure check.
