Training Designer
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and creative Training Designer to develop engaging, effective, and high-quality learning solutions. This role involves analysing training needs, designing instructional materials, and supporting the delivery of training programmes that enhance learner performance and capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop training solutions aligned to organisational goals and learner needs
* Conduct training needs analysis to identify knowledge and skill gaps
* Create instructional materials, including e-learning modules, classroom content, and blended learning programmes
* Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g. ADDIE, SAM) to ensure effective learning outcomes
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and validate training materials
* Develop assessments and evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness
* Ensure all learning content meets quality, accessibility, and compliance standards
* Maintain and update existing training materials to reflect changes in processes or technology
* Support the delivery and facilitation of training where required
* Use learning technologies and authoring tools to produce high-quality content
Skills & Experience
* Experience in instructional design, learning and development, or training design
* Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks
* Experience developing digital learning content (e-learning, multimedia, or virtual training)
* Proficiency in learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, Captivate, or similar)
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging learning materials
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent experience in Education, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or a related field
* Relevant professional certification (e.g. CIPD, ATD) is desirable
Desirable
* Experience working in a technical, engineering, or regulated environment
* Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
* Experience with data analysis to evaluate learning effectiveness
