Job Role: Weekend Chef/Cook
Pay: £15.16 (Cook)-£19.21 (Chef) per hour
Role Type: Weekend Permanent
Expected Hours: 14per week (8am-4pm)

We are recruiting on behalf of Housing Association who provides, high-quality housing, care and support for the Elderly, with a strong reputation for delivering safe, comfortable and supportive homes. The catering team are responsible for delivering prepared meals in line with Hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
* Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare a wide range of dishes.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
* A passion for cooking and creating innovative meal options for customers.
* An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, or willingness to do this
* Employment vetting, including references and full work history
* Food Safety Level 2 or 3, with a willingness to be further trained
* Professional and the ability to work with various backgrounds and cultures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in the development of new menu items, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
* Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
* Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency across all dishes.
* Assist with special events or catering services as required.
