About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join the team at Otavia House on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with additional needs.
You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, supporting individual learning needs, and helping students build confidence and independence.
✨ Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEN
2. Support students with EHCPs and individual learning plans
3. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
4. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and support staff
5. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies where needed
6. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals
What We’re Looking For
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
8. ❤️ A strong passion for supporting students with SEN
9. Experience working with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs is desirable
10. Excellent communication and classroom management skills
11. ️ An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
