Overview
First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business that is looking to recruit a Marine Engineering Electrical Trainer on a permanent basis due to growth at their Gosport depot.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the business.
* Support future change initiatives.
* Work effectively and collaboratively with staff, demonstrating appropriate behaviors.
* Instruct Electrical & Electronic principles training in accordance with the Training Plan and SOPs.
* Maintain and update training documentation.
* Assess student coursework and provide feedback.
* Ensure the safety and duty of care for trainees during training.
* Perform equipment maintenance as qualified.
* Implement and comply with company security, health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Qualifications and experience:
* Recent (within last 5 years) experience or current employment in Marine electrical and electronic engineering in a maritime environment.
* Knowledge of Marine electrical and electronic instruction for phase 2 and 3 Electrical Engineering courses, including Electrical Theory, Safety, Power & Distribution, High Voltage, Test Equipment, Maintenance, Damage Control, and Waste Processing.
* Instructional experience in military or civilian electrical/electronic environments (preferably within last 5 years).
* Experience in developing electrical and electronic engineering training courses.
* Qualified at least to Level 3 engineering (vocational or academic).
* Proficiency in workplace IT hardware and software.
Additional details:
* Location: Gosport
* Salary: £34,000 – £38,000
* Hours: 39 hours/week, Monday to Friday
