Systems Engineer – Defence Programmes - Perm and Contract Opportunities
About the Role
Join a leading defence team and work across the full systems lifecycle from requirements gathering and design to integration, validation, and verification (V&V). We have roles available at all levels, from hands‑on Engineers to Technical Leads and Management positions.
What You’ll Do
* Capture and analyse system requirements and develop architectures
* Lead or support system design, integration, and V&V activities
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across software, hardware, and project management
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What You’ll Bring
* Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or MagicDraw
* Knowledge of safety-critical or mission-critical systems standards (e.g., IEC 61508, DO-178C, DO-254)
* Familiarity with systems integration testing in multi-domain platforms (air, land, maritime)
* Understanding of autonomous systems or robotics in defence applications
* Experience with digital engineering or simulation environments
* Knowledge of secure communications and cybersecurity principles in systems engineering
* Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Polarion
* Previous exposure to MOD or government acquisition processes
