Overview
Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal role at IVC Evidensia (Otter Vets). This full-time position is based primarily at the Sidmouth branch with regular travel to the Ottery St Mary site in East Devon. The practice is undergoing modernisation and offers a supportive team and meaningful community connection.
Salary up to £65,000 DOE, with a welcome bonus up to £5,000 and relocation allowance up to £5,000. This role includes flexible working options and a balanced mix of consultations and surgery.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of primarily cats and dogs, with occasional small furries and chickens.
* Conduct consultations and perform routine soft tissue surgeries (spays, castrates, lump removals, etc.).
* Confidently handle some sole-charge responsibilities and know when to refer orthopaedics if needed.
* Collaborate with a team of nurses who assist with surgery and consultations and run their own nurse clinics.
* Maintain high-quality note-taking with dedicated admin time each day to stay on top of records.
