We have an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic and committed Adult Support and Protection Advisers to join our team.
Essential Qualifications
1. Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Allied Health Professional
2. Educated to degree level in an appropriate subject
3. Significant post registration experience at Band 6 or equivalent, including work in adult and child protection
4. Postgraduate Certificate in Child / Adult Protection (or willingness to undertake).
5. Full UK driving Licence
Essential Experience
6. Post registration experience in Adult Protection
7. Experience of collaborative working across agencies and organisational boundaries at a local level
Knowledge and Competencies
8. In depth knowledge of national and local child and adult protection guidelines
9. In depth knowledge of adult’s and children’s rights and relevant legislation
10. Extensive knowledge of the roles and functions of other statutory agencies
11. Excellent presentation skills
12. Supervisory skills in Adult support and Protection
13. Facilitation skills for peer and group supervision
14. Advanced theoretical knowledge of evidence based practice in relation to Public Protection
15. Knowledge of quality improvement methodology, including audit and self-evaluation
16. Ability to work autonomously and make independent decisions while prioritising multiple concurrent issues
17. Evidence of continuing personal development in the relevant field
18. High level of computer literacy
19. Ability to critically appraise research literature and apply findings to practice
20. Ability to analyse highly complex information and make autonomous professional decisions
