Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in painting, particularly within a warehouse environment. This role requires an eye for detail and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying finishes to ensure high-quality results.
Duties
* Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
* Mix paints and other materials according to specifications or instructions.
* Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
* Inspect finished work for quality assurance and make touch-ups as needed.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; perform basic maintenance when required.
* Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Experience
* Proven experience in painting, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
* Basic maths skills for measuring areas and mixing paint accurately
* Ability to assemble components as part of the finishing process is desirable.
