Wastewater team (Band 4)
37 Hours per week
Responsibilities
* This is an opportunity to work in a newly developed service in NHS Lothian providing analysis of pathogens for public health interest in wastewater.
* Work develops from the COVID-19 pandemic period; you will be part of a team involved in highly skilled procedures and specialist testing.
* The role requires molecular skills, in particular extraction and real-time PCR.
* You will be expected to participate in several off bench duties.
Qualifications
* Laboratory experience is essential.
* You should have excellent IT skills.
* Relevant Foundation degree, an HND in Biological Science, or NVQ4.
