We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Operations Utilities Multi-Systems Lead - Assistant Project Manager to join our Site Operations team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of critical utility services across a complex, high-security construction environment. About the Role Reporting directly to the Site Operations Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of utility operations and maintenance contracts—both temporary and permanent. You will lead contractor teams delivering essential services that support the wider Site Operations service lines and enable the successful delivery of the overall project. Your scope will include, but is not limited to: Minor electrical works Surface and foul water treatment plants Potable water networks and fire hydrants Foul and surface water drainage systems You will also provide technical input across all project phases—from feasibility and design to construction and operation—and offer engineering support to other service lines such as logistics, facilities management, bussing, catering, and accommodation. Key Responsibilities Manage utility O&M contracts valued up to £100 million Oversee the provision of critical site support services for a workforce of ~10,000 Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and site-specific controls Lead contractor teams and ensure competency across all roles Develop and implement service delivery plans aligned with project schedules Monitor and report on safety, KPIs, SLAs, budgets, and forecasts Manage stakeholder relationships across internal teams and external partners Support temporary design and design change processes Drive early intervention and issue resolution through a “one team” approach Provide assurance on weekly progress and lead recovery actions where needed Support career development and performance management of staff Role Dimensions Direct accountability for multiple service delivery contracts Oversight of both on-site and off-site associated developments Active participation in the Area Management model to ensure “Best for Project” decisions Delegated authority for contract and package management Strategic planning and execution in line with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP) What We’re Looking For Essential: Proven leadership in a utilities, highways, or construction service-led environment Experience in high-security, regulated project settings Strong contract and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple teams and complex scopes Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic project environment Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Desirable: HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering or technical discipline Experience with utility O&M, statutory permits, and quality assurance Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Office Suite, and AutoCAD Budget development and financial reporting experience Why Join Sizewell C?
