The Role
We are seeking an Enterprise Systems Automation and Reporting Analyst to support and enhance our internal systems landscape. This role will focus on automating workflows (particularly in JIRA and related tools), integrating systems via APIs, and developing dashboards and reports that empower data-driven decision-making across the business.
You’ll work closely with IT, engineering, operations, and enterprise systems teams to streamline processes, improve visibility, and ensure data integrity across platforms.
Responsibilities Will Include
Automation & Workflow Management
* Design, implement, and maintain JIRA automation rules and workflows.
* Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks across enterprise systems.
* Integrate JIRA with other platforms (e.g., Confluence, GitHub, ERP, PLM).
API & System Integration
* Build and maintain lightweight API integrations between business systems.
* Support data flow and synchronisation across tools (e.g., ERP, PPM, PLM, Service platforms).
* Collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure secure and scalable integrations.
Reporting & Dashboarding
* Develop and maintain dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or JIRA dashboards.
* Automate data extraction and transformation for reporting and analytics.
* Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs and deliver actionable insights.
Support & Continuous Improvement
* Troubleshoot system issues and support end-users with automation and reporting tools.
* Document processes, integrations, and automation logic.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimisation.
Required
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience with JIRA administration and automation (e.g., Automation for JIRA, ScriptRunner).
* Strong understanding of REST APIs and integration techniques.
* Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Bash).
* Experience with dashboarding and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Desirable
* Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or defence environment.
* Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Infor LN, SAP, Dynamics).
* Exposure to PLM, MES, or PPM tools.
* Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., ITAR, Export Control).
Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with UK National security clearance required for certain roles.*
