Priory Hospital Nelson House looking to recruit a Recovery Support Worker to join the team to cover Night Shifts only.
Located in Gosport, Hampshire, Priory Hospital Nelson House is a rehabilitation service which offers both level 1 and level 2 care, supporting males presenting with mental health conditions and complex needs, who may also have behaviours that challenge and substance misuse issues.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
* Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks. To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
* Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
* Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
* Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.

What you'll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.
The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or a related subject), or an equivalent or higher recognised qualification, along with GCSEs or NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths. While not all new recruits are expected to already have an NVQ2 qualification, they should be willing to begin working towards this within six months of joining and complete it within an agreed timeframe. Experience working in a related care or support environment is desirable. Strong communication skills are also essential to effectively support patients, colleagues, and the wider care team.
