If the answer is yes then this could be the role for you. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the award winning North Devon AOS team. The post holder will work closely alongside the lead immunotherapy CNS to deliver a first class service to cancer patients receiving novel immunotherapy treatments. The role involves the care and management of the disease and side effects of this group of patients. You will develop your clinical skills, knowledge and experience in the varied and diverse arena of acute cancer care. The role will sit within the acute oncology service where you will gain valuable insight, knowledge and experience in the management of the emergency cancer patient. The post holder will work within this very specialist team managing the care and treatment of all cancer patients receiving all SACT. This service is delivered across 7 days so weekend/BH working will occasionally be required. The role is based within the award winning acute oncology service in North Devon, reporting to the lead immunotherapy nurse offering specialist advice and management of the complications of treatment or disease for cancer patients and the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will be able to develop key clinical skills including physical assessment and non medical prescribing. The role will include developing the immunotherapy service and training and education for the wider medical team. Consideration will be given for applicants as a Band 6 development post.
