CARTERS Cambridge Manufacturing are seeking an experienced production Night Shift Team Leader with sound manufacturing knowledge and understanding of the processes within a frame and truss manufacturing environment.
About the role
We are seeking a Night Shift Team Leader, reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead a production team of manufacturing operators and carpenters, ensuring production targets are met; safety and quality is adhered to while training and developing your team.
Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
1. Lead a team of 10 plus team members ensuring products meet customer expectations and requirements
2. Manage your team of employees, temps and contractors to deliver performance expectations
3. Work cooperatively with the manufacturing leadership team to deliver quality product and service
4. Ensure appropriate training and development of staff
5. Ensure systems are in place to minimise waste
6. Ensure customer delivery dates are met
7. Ensure a culture of continuous improvement
About you
You will be highly motivated and have a passion for developing a high-performance culture to meet business objectives while possessing the following skills and experience:
8. Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role in a multi shift environment.
9. Strong technical and tactical experience and comprehensive understanding of small team leadership within the building/frame and truss manufacturing environment
10. Strong problem-solving skills with regard to technical queries and the ability to confidently provide solutions or remedial actions for your team
11. Strong interpersonal skills
12. Confidence in computer controlled operating environment
