Assistant Town Planner – London
We’re currently working with a well-established planning consultancy and local authority clients across London who are looking to appoint an Assistant Town Planner to support a growing workload of exciting and varied projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career planner to develop their experience in a fast-paced London planning environment, with strong mentoring and a clear progression pathway.
The Role
As an Assistant Town Planner, you will:
1. Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
2. Support senior planners with site appraisals, planning statements, and policy research
3. Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and clients
4. Monitor planning applications and contribute to project delivery
5. Develop your understanding of London planning policy and development management
About You
Our clients are keen to speak with candidates who have:
6. A degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related discipline
7. Working towards (or an interest in) RTPI accreditation
8. Some experience in planning (public or private sector – internships and placements welcomed)
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills
10. A proactive attitude and genuine interest in the London planning market
