We are seeking an experienced Process Designer with a strong technical business analysis background in supporting Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and No/ Low Code Solutions. You will be a key member of our Automation Centre of Excellence, working alongside major stakeholders across the business, and support our exciting Automation Programme in the design and creation of technical artefacts required for the development of cutting-edge automation solutions across LNER.
You will essentially be responsible for analysing, designing, and optimizing business processes to facilitate automation using RPA technology (UiPath) and No/ Low Code tools (Microsoft, Salesforce, etc.). You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical designs and ensuring that automated processes are conceived and designed to be efficient, scalable, and deliver measurable value.
Within this role you will be involved in;
Process Analysis, Design & Documentation:
* Work closely with business stakeholders to understand existing processes, identify inefficiencies/ opportunities for improvement, and map out current workflows and user journeys.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to design future-state processes optimized for automation.
Technical Requirements Gathering:
* Document business requirements for automation solutions, including inputs, outputs, and decision logics.
* Ensure clarity and completeness of requirements for technical teams.
Feasibility Assessment:
* Assess the feasibility of automating identified processes, considering technical constraints, complexity, and ROI.
* Provide recommendations on process improvements and redesigns to enhance automation potential.
Solution Design & Documentation:
* Ensure designs align with organizational policies, security standards, and best practices.
Collaboration with Development Team:
* Act as the liaison between business users and RPA/ Power Platform developers, clarifying requirements and resolving queries.
* Participate in solution testing, ensuring outputs align with business expectations.
Change Management & Training:
* Support business units in adopting automated solutions through training and user documentation.
* Assist in managing process changes and ensure smooth transition to automated workflows.
* Stay updated with RPA and Low/ No Code solutions, trends, and best practices to drive innovation in process and workflow automation.
What you'll need:
* Strong technical business analysis, process analysis, mapping, design, improvement and optimisation.
* Familiarity with RPA and Low/ No Code tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Platform, MS Dynamics, Salesforce Agentforce, etc.) and their capabilities.
* Proficiency in the use of UiPath tools such as Automation Hub, Process Mining, Dashboards, Insights, etc., are highly desirable
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficient in creating process documentation and workflow diagrams.
* Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
* Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Extensive experience in process design, process analysis, or similar roles.
* Exposure to RPA projects and other automation tools is a must for this role.
* Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
* Certifications in RPA tools and/or business/process analysis are highly desirable.
