Job Description
* Act as the visible leader during bar service in the absence of the Assistant Manager or Manager.
* Oversee the shift and allocate bar duties to team members when leadership is not present.
* Represent the Bar team in operational meetings when required.
* Ensure all bar opening and closing procedures are completed and all documentation is accurately recorded.
* Maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the bar and surrounding areas to Fairmont standards.
* Monitor and replenish bar stock levels, placing orders as needed.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues to support smooth service flow.
* Maintain a strong guest‑focused approach and ensure the team delivers warm, attentive bar service.
* Prepare and serve drinks accurately and consistently, following brand standards.
* Handle guest issues or complaints appropriately and update the Bar Manager on actions taken.
* Identify opportunities to upsell beverages and support daily revenue generation.
* Stay aware of daily business levels and upcoming events impacting bar service.
* Take responsibility for all payments and financial transactions during the shift.
* Lead pre‑shift briefings in the absence of the Assistant Manager or Manager.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a Supervisory role, ideally within a luxury or high‑volume environment.
* Qualification in Hospitality Management/Food & Beverage preferred
* Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage
* Experienced in all aspects of restaurant and banquet service.
* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar capacity with proven records in delivering results
* Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
