Location: Milesian Manor Lifestyle Care Home, 9 Ballyheifer Road

Milesian Manor, based in Magherafelt, is currently recruiting an Activities / Lifestyle Co-Ordinator (37.5 hours) to join our friendly, caring, and progressive Care Home. This is a vital role within the Home, where the successful candidate will work as a team to create a stimulating and developing activity program to enhance the quality of life for each resident within the nursing home.

Ideal Candidate


* Working as part of a team to deliver excellent quality, person-centred activities, and social activities for residents.
* Plan special events and group activities, on occasion, and create personalised plans for residents.
* Experience and a passion for Arts and Drama-related activities.
* Facilitate opportunities for residents to spend time together.
* Ability to work set hours, flexible to meet the needs of the organisation.
* Must have a good command of written and spoken English.
* Relevant vocational qualifications (achieved or working towards).
* Experience working with elderly residents suffering from dementia.
* Knowledge of the care of the elderly patients' Charter of Rights.

Required Criteria

* Ability to work set hours, flexible to meet the needs of the organisation.
* Must have a good command of written and spoken English.
* Excellent communication skills, specifically with the elderly.

Desired Criteria

* Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved / working towards).
* Experience of working with elderly residents suffering from dementia.
* Knowledge of Care of the Elderly Patients Charter of Rights.
