An exciting opportunity has become available to work within Care4CE Community Reablement Services. The position is for a permanent Supervisory Senior Support Worker, 30 hours per week, working one in three weekends. The role is based at Macclesfield Town Hall, Macclesfield.
Grade and Salary
Grade 7, start pay flat rate £31,537 [pro rata, per annum], £16.35 per hour, with an incremental increase over 5 years to £34,434 [pro rata, per annum], £17.85 per hour.
Pay and Shifts
Weekends are paid at time and a half, as are Bank Holidays. Christmas Day and Boxing Day are double pay. Shifts include a mix of days and evenings, with 1 in 3 weekends working.
Travel Expenses
Mileage rates are 46.9p under 1000cc / electric car, and 52.2p over 1000cc.
About the Role
Reablement is a community-based, short-term service supporting hospital discharges and hospital avoidance, working with integrated health partners under the Home First Agenda. Responsibilities include therapy exercises, low-level health tasks, enabling independence, risk assessments, moving and handling assessments, and training as a Trusted Assessor for low-level OT equipment.
You will need excellent organizational and time management skills to support and manage a fast-paced duty team, case manage individuals, ensure evidenced-based assessments, and supervise frontline reablement workers to deliver high-quality, safe services. Flexibility is essential to respond to emergency crisis work. You will also participate in delivering in-house training, including health tasks.
