Ashtead Technology is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead the talent acquisition function - attracting, engaging, and securing top talent for our business. You'll design hiring strategies and champion an exceptional candidate experience that fuels our growth and long-term success. Working closely with senior leaders and hiring managers, you'll ensure we have the people and capabilities we need grow our business
Day to day you'll be involved in:
* Leading, developing and overseeing the talent acquisition function, ensuring recruitment activity aligns with business goals and workforce planning.
* Partnering with senior leadership and hiring managers to define, anticipate and prioritise resourcing requirements across the organisation.
* Overseeing the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a consistent, efficient, and high-quality experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
* Developing and implementing innovative sourcing and attraction strategies using a range of channels, including direct sourcing, job boards, social media, networking, and partnerships.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with candidates, ensuring timely communication and constructive feedback throughout the process.
* Championing a positive candidate experience that reflects the company's values and strengthens its employer brand.
* Evaluating and continuously improving recruitment processes, tools, and routes to market to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and cost efficiency.
* Leading talent pipeline development initiatives by proactively networking, attending industry events, and building high-value relationships with potential candidates and professional bodies.
* Maintaining oversight of a structured database of qualified candidates to support future hiring needs.
* Driving employer branding efforts in collaboration with the marketing team, including the creation of compelling job adverts, careers site content, and social media campaigns.
* Analysing, tracking, and reporting on key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire), using data insights to inform decisions and present findings to leadership.
* Developing and sustaining relationships with educational institutions (schools, colleges, universities) to attract emerging talent.
* Contributing to and influencing the wider people strategy, bringing insight and recommendations to improve workforce planning and talent development.
* Managing relationships with external recruitment agencies and partners, ensuring quality and value for the business.
* Providing guidance, coaching, and support to hiring managers to ensure best-practice recruitment across the organisation.
What experience you'll bring:
* Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Manager or in a senior talent acquisition/strategic recruitment role.
* Demonstrable experience leading, improving, or scaling recruitment processes and initiatives.
* Strong knowledge of modern recruitment strategies, market trends, and best practices.
* Skilled in using a variety of sourcing channels, networking approaches, and recruitment technologies.
* CIPD qualified or qualified by experience.
* Experience within the energy sector is preferable.
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong stakeholder relationships.
* Highly proficient in IT and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to produce meaningful data and insights to support decision-making.
