As a Lecturer in the Degree Apprenticeship team at QA, you will work with learners studying alongside full-time work to develop their professional skills. We teach using Blended Learning, supporting learners through online content, remote interactive sessions (e.g., WebEx, discussion forums), and live-online or face-to-face workshops. The role includes delivering workshops, marking, and module leadership.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Design and own multiple modules on the Degree Apprenticeship programmes, ensuring high-quality online and face-to-face delivery.
2. Develop course materials, including videos, exercises, slides, and assessments.
3. Contribute to assessment and teaching activities within the team.
4. Ensure continual programme improvements and high-quality learning experiences for apprentices.
5. Act as moderator and peer reviewer for modules each term.
6. Gather and respond to apprentice feedback to maintain a minimum satisfaction score of 90%.
7. Maintain teaching quality as judged through peer observations, aiming for 'good' or 'outstanding' ratings.
Your Experience/Skills
Essential Qualifications:
* Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one, preferably Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
Desirable Qualifications:
* PhD or progress towards one.
* Teaching qualifications.
* Ability to deliver engaging practical sessions.
* Industry experience in relevant subject areas (IT, Computer Science, Business & Tech, Data Science).
* Knowledge of Apprenticeships, work-based learning, or Higher Education.
* Understanding of equity and diversity issues.
