Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support our educators in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, including autism. This role involves assisting in the educational development of students, fostering a positive atmosphere, and ensuring that all children receive the support they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and educational activities.
* Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional support.
* Help create an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates the diverse needs of all students.
* Support children with special educational needs by implementing individualised education plans (IEPs).
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative learning environment.
* Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers as necessary.
* Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
* Maintain a safe and organised classroom space conducive to learning.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, educators, and parents.
* Ability to educate and mentor students in a supportive manner.
* Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and strategies for supporting individuals on the spectrum is advantageous.
* A patient and empathetic approach towards teaching and supporting children.
* Relevant qualifications in education or child development are beneficial but not essential.
