Band 6 - Senior Neuro Occupational Therapist. We are expanding our service in line with new stroke guideline and would like you to be part of this exciting change.
Main Responsibilities
* Contribute to the provision, coordination and development of OT services for their specific section.
* Assist in training and supervising junior staff and students and participate in administrative functions of the OT Department.
* Provide excellent, high quality person-centered clinical care that advocates for patients.
* Strive to provide a service fit for today and the future.
* Develop personal leadership to support clinical growth.
* Have experience working with stroke and a range of other neurological conditions.
Essential Criteria
* Degree or Diploma in OT.
* HCPC registration.
* Ability to work single-handedly with individuals and groups (stroke specific).
* Ability to manage own workload and determine priorities.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance.
* Knowledge of evidence-based practice (stroke specific).
* Understanding of professional ethics and their application in practice (within OT and stroke).
* Ability to clinical reason/plan intervention independently.
* Experience working with neuro patients in an acute/community setting.
* Evidence of CPD.
* Experience of risk assessment.
Desirable Criteria
* Fieldwork educators course.
* Evidence of postgraduate study in neuro conditions.
* Training and facilitation skills.
* Use of an NHS EPR.
* Experience of research and audit.
* Advice and informal supervision to support staff and students.
* Experience working in the NHS.
