At VPG, you will meet dedicated people who believe that precision measurement sensing technologies are key to a smarter, safer future.
VPG addresses an expanding array of applications where accuracy, reliability, and repeatability are crucial—ranging from safety systems in trucks, cars, planes, to medical equipment and consumer products. Our advanced sensing products are developed by passionate, creative individuals aiming to make the world safer, smarter, and more productive.
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative for our Force Sensors division.
The role's purpose is to establish and develop a direct connection between the customer and the business. You will be the trusted voice of the customer within VPG, supporting our Sales Managers and Engineers. A significant part of your role will involve working positively and collaboratively with internal teams to optimize lead times, shipments, and sales revenue within tight deadlines.
If you have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and thrive in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage orders from entry to acknowledgment, track EDI orders, plan outbound dispatches, manage dates based on planning and purchasing info, and raise pro-forma invoices as needed.
* Respond promptly and comprehensively to customer inquiries regarding stock, delivery times, and pricing. Act as the customer's voice within the company, aiming to exceed expectations and foster strong relationships.
* Focus on business optimization by achieving budgets and forecasts, and improving delivery timelines through collaboration with Planning, Logistics, and other teams.
* Own and resolve complaints through thorough investigation and timely action.
* Coordinate product returns according to RMA processes and arrange credits.
* Maintain ERP, CRM, and internal databases accurately.
* Manage direct orders for load cells, electronics, and accessories from inter-company sources.
* Generate reports and documentation aligned with customer and internal expectations.
* Proactively contact existing and potential customers to support sales activities.
* Prepare for, attend, and contribute to meetings and conference calls.
Requirements:
* Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, with excellent ERP capabilities.
* Ability to develop relationships via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
* Good presentation and communication skills are essential.
* German language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
* Experience in B2B customer service within manufacturing or distribution is preferred but not essential.
* Team-oriented with good prioritization skills.
* Resilient, proactive, and willing to develop in a demanding environment.
* No prior sensor knowledge needed; however, it would be beneficial.
* Independence, initiative, and sound decision-making skills are required.
* Ability to handle a fluctuating, varied, and pressure-filled workload.
Joining VPG means becoming part of a global community. We support on-the-job training from day one and encourage career progression through internal promotions.
Our main benefits include:
* Competitive salary package
* 8% employer pension contribution
* Life Assurance
* 25 days annual leave plus public holidays, increasing to 30 days with service
