We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Stakeholder Engagement Consultant to join our Stakeholder Engagement, Consultation and Communications team in Cardiff. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering effective communications and has experience engaging with and consulting a wide range of audiences to support complex projects.
Reflecting an active pipeline of projects, we seek someone to lead various projects in Wales, help grow our team, and expand our service offerings.
Here’s what you’ll do:
1. Communications: Develop strategies and delivery plans for infrastructure projects, create themes, core messages, and collateral for diverse audiences.
2. Engagement and consultation: Identify stakeholders, establish engagement strategies, support consultations, develop surveys, manage feedback, and plan events.
3. Client relations: Liaise with clients, ensure high service levels, and produce accurate reports.
4. Business development: Support growth of engagement services in Wales and identify new business opportunities across the UK and Ireland.
5. Project and team management: Manage projects, teams, and budgets, deliver on time and budget, and support junior staff development.
Qualifications include extensive experience in communications or engagement, understanding of Welsh politics, team management skills, sector experience, proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, willingness to travel, and fluency in Welsh is preferred. A degree or relevant experience is required.
