Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment.
Duties
* Accurately dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications, dosages, and administration.
* Build a good rapport with patients face to face and over the phone.
* Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management.
* Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications, including compounding where necessary.
* Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure optimal workflow and patient safety.
* Monitor stock levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain inventory.
* Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role is highly desirable.
* NVQL2 Dispensing is a MUST.
* Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
