1. Assessing and authorising applications within mandate, escalating complex cases as needed
2. Delivering high-quality technical underwriting aligned with audit and compliance standards
3. Communicating effectively with customers and third parties via phone, email and letter
4. Coaching and mentoring team members to build technical capability and confidence
5. Attending meetings with internal teams and external partners to strengthen relationships
6. Monitoring service levels and identifying areas for improvement in team performance
7. Analysing underwriting data to spot trends and support decision-making
8. Supporting change initiatives with a flexible and proactive approach
QualificationsWho we're looking for:
9. Previous experience in financial services or a related industry
10. Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
11. Strong understanding of AML, TCF, and Data Protection regulations
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
14. A collaborative team player with a flexible mindset
15. Confidence in handling customer interactions, including complaints
16. Analytical skills to interpret data and identify actionable insights
