Scope of Work: A key role in a growing team that will lead technical support on projects, from initial enquiry and tendering right through to construction, commissioning and energisation.

Turner Lovell is recruiting a Project Engineer to join a leading international multi-disciplinary engineering contractor, providing high-value engineering services to clients in Scotland. You will work with various sections across the entire business, with a particular emphasis on the HV electrical elements of M&E projects. This role will be part of the transmission and distribution (T&D) engineering team affording them the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience on electrical installations up to 400kV.
Your key responsibilities in the role will include:
* Preparation of design drawings covering all aspects of High & Low voltage equipment, including alterations; liaising and co-ordinating with members of the design team, contractors and in-house project team on technical and commercial issues.
* Processing requisitions, generation of purchase orders and confirm delivery to site; seeking to clarify queries with the design team through the request for information (RFI) system; attending technical meetings with members of the design team, contractors, and in-house project team.
* Carrying out document control, recording & transmitting information; preparing method statements and risk assessments for production activities; organising and assessing the work of sub-contractors.
* Carrying out Quality Control through inspections and snagging; preparation of test packs for recording the completion of systems, project schedules, material take offs and out to tender schedules.
* Assisting with the procurement of materials, equipment and services; with the preparation of technical documentation for issue of tenders and construction; preparing tender, construction and as-built design drawings, and project programs.
The ideal profile is someone who is:
* 3rd level Qualification in Electrical Engineering
* Minimum of 2 years engineering design/project management experience on industrial installation projects
* Professional and commercial acumen and be capable of representing your team at a senior level in meetings
* A proven track record of delivering projects on time and to budget
* Experience of managing multiple projects at the one time
