About the opportunity:
Media.Monks is looking for a HR Director for the EMEA region. In this role you will play a crucial part in supporting and advancing the HR team within our organisation across the EMEA region. As a senior leader, you will have direct responsibility for leading and overseeing all HR functions in multiple countries, ensuring the effective management and development of a diverse workforce.
Ideal candidates for this role have extensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations in various countries within the EMEA region, including knowledge of employment contracts, termination procedures, employee rights, and other legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment
2. Lead, coach and develop the HR team to ensure their growth and effectiveness
3. Develop best-practice operations and processes that bring all existing teams together for maximum efficiency. Work is both at the individual company level, as well as across the regional S4 umbrella.
4. Stay updated on local labor laws and regulations within the EMEA region to ensure compliance.
5. Partner and work closely with legal counsel to address any legal concerns or changes in labor laws.
6. Work closely with senior executives on strategic planning as it relates to people (e.g., changes to compensation, organizational design, headcount planning, etc.) and drive implementation of plans throughout the year.
7. Serve as a liaison between the HR and legal counsel, effectively communicating and collaborating on escalated employee-related issues.
8. Oversee the resolution of complex employee issues and foster positive employee relations across the region.
Qualifications:
9. Minimum of 10 + years of people-related experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position in a hyper-growth company, with experience in a marketing agency preferred.
10. In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations across multiple countries within the EMEA region.
11. Immigration law/policy experience highly desired.
12. Ability to pivot to shifting priorities
13. Demonstrated track record in leading and executing HR efforts spanning across talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, performance management, diversity and inclusion, employee communications and relations, succession planning, compliance, immigration, training, professional and organizational development.
14. Strong communication and influencing skills
15. Familiarity and comfort in environments where growth and change are the constants, pace is fast and a global mindset is required.
16. Proficiency in using technology to leverage HR Programs and experience using data and analytics to measure outcomes, gain insights, make decisions and influence others.

17. Experience with Workday is strongly preferred
