PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT
Our client is looking for an experienced Procurement Assistant/Purchasing Assistant/Commercial Assistant to be based at their fantastic offices in Weston – Super – Mare.
This is a full-time permanent position.
The Role
Reporting into the Head of Commercial you will be responsible for helping to optimise processes, reduce costs and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
You will oversee all aspects of purchasing and sourcing materials, components and services related to data cabling projects.
Day to day you could be
Sourcing suppliers – ensuring the PSL meets the needs of the business
Be involved in contract negotiation ensuring contracts come in at the best price
Implement and manage inventory control systems
Develop and implement procurement planning to meet project requirements
Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure all purchased materials meet the required standards
Assist in managing the procurement budget and ensure all expenditures are within approved limits
The skills and experience needed
Experience of procurement within the construction industry
Experience in using Coins ERP - desirable
Fantastic attention to detail
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
