As part of Public Health, the Active travel team continue to support our community to provide an environment that encourages activity, including walking and cycling and be more active in their journeys. To continue the growth of this service, the team are looking to recruit Active Travel trainers to support with the delivery of our projects. The role will be responsible for delivering and supporting existing projects, including Bikeability, School Streets, Active Travel community development projects and Road Safety Education.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and support existing projects, including Bikeability, School Streets, Active Travel community development projects and Road Safety Education.
* Deliver training to both adult and child groups and work involving the general public.
* Be self-motivated, well organised and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Demonstrate a commitment to high standards of customer care.
* Undertake site assessments and risk assessments, keeping clear written records for each.
Qualifications
* You will be IT literate and numerate.
* Knowledge of road safety education, active travel schemes, cycle training and cycle maintenance is not essential but would be an advantage.
* Applications are welcome without the essential qualifications as these can be provided within the induction process.
